During World War II, a lonely German boy Jojo Betzler has his perspective changed upside down when he learns that his mother has been a young Jewish girl in their attic. Aidid by his imaginary friend in the form of an idiotic version of Adolf Hitler, Jojo learns to confront his ideology.
